As a Payments Product Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and managing our payments solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the technical operations team and finance professionals, to drive improvements in payment methods, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will also assist on certain operational tasks when it comes to the day to day. You will support the in house Payments team with queries, investigations and any ad hoc related issue they might have. Your expertise will be essential in identifying trends and implementing strategies to ensure a seamless payment experience for our customers all while acting as an account manager for a small portfolio of our PSP’s.
What you will be doing
- Analyze Payment Systems: Conduct in-depth analysis of our payments infrastructure, including payment gateways, merchant accounts, and third-party providers. Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Payment Method Evaluation: Research and evaluate new payment methods, assess their viability, and make recommendations for integration based on customer preferences, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Monitor payment-related risks, such as fraud, chargebacks, and compliance issues. Develop strategies and work with relevant teams to mitigate risks and implement effective fraud prevention measures.
- Onboarding of Payment providers: Conduct corporate applications, KYC updates for new and existing payment providers.
- Operations: Act as a point of reference for any escalations made by the internal operational teams and assist management with monitoring the team’s performance. Adequately carry out all day-to-day Operational duties set out by management. Investigate and resolve issues related to money transfers, missing deposits and missing withdrawals.
- PSP Account Management: You will be tasked with communicating with our payment providers while acting as an account manager for a small portfolio of our PSP’s.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payment processing, transaction success rates, and customer payment behavior. Generate regular reports and provide insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Payment Regulations and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest payment industry regulations, card network rules, and data protection standards. Ensure compliance and collaborate with legal and compliance teams to implement necessary changes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, finance professionals, and customer support teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and implement payment-related features and enhancements.
- Managing out of hours incidents and knowing what to do in times of crisis.
Your experience

- You have 2+ years experience working within a similar environment within the iGaming or online payments industry.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, payment gateways, and merchant accounts.
- Familiarity with popular payment methods, including credit/debit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, and cryptocurrencies.
- Knowledge of payment industry regulations, compliance requirements, and data protection standards (such as PCI-DSS).
- A good operational background within the payments landscape
- Analytical mindset with expertise in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
